My name is Tom Sampson. I am licensed as a massage therapist in Pennsylvania. My office is located in Sayre, PA and I have a massage and sound therapy business called Sound Vitality. I utilize a variety of techniques in my massage sessions. My favorite type of massage is a clothed modality similar to shiatsu. It involves working with the meridian or energy system of the body involving the five elements. During the massage I use stretching, range of motion, compression, jostling, tapotement/percussion and sound instruments like tuning forks and tibetan bowls to facilitate relaxation and the release of stagnate areas of the body. These techniques help to relieve pain and facilitate relaxation.
