About
Mariah has been practicing massage therapy since 2019. While attending the Advanced Massage program at Avenue Five Institute she was trained in Neuromuscular Deep Tissue, Sports massage, postural assessment, Prenatal, Craniosacral Bodywork and Myofascial manipulation. Mariah followed her passion for Deep Tissue and Fascial Manipulation and focused on research and practice in these modalities for a year and a half. Along with her mentorship, she has spent hundreds of hours studying to deepen her understanding and to provide the best massage possible. She has especially been influenced by her teachers: Shane Melear, Jessica Price, Michelle Goings, and Jonathan Grassi. Receiving an education in Neuromuscular Deep Tissue and Myofascial work has really helped Mariah to gain the knowledge that it takes to help you heal, and ultimately create Neurofascial Rehabilitation. This knowledge allows her to follow pain patterns and understand the form and function of the body through the lens of the interconnected web that is our fascia.
Sound and Vibrational Healing
Mariah has completed three courses in Sound and Vibrational Healing with Suren Shrestha at Atma Buti Sound and Vibrational School in Boulder. Mariah embraces how the singing bowls invoke the healing power within us by inducing deeper states of relaxation and meditation.
When working with Mariah, know that the session is being catered to you, and that you are not just another person on the table. She takes every interaction seriously with her clients, taking the time to listen to their concerns, answering questions, brainstorming together and creating adaptive plans to help them find more comfort and ease. Open communication is always encouraged to ensure that they are on the same page.
When Mariah is not massaging she can be found in woods with her family, practicing yoga, cooking, or let’s be honest, watching too much Food Network at the end of the day.
Creator of Neurofascial Rehabilitation: A form of Structural Integration Bodywork that supports healthy nervous system function and communication within our connective, muscular and visceral tissue. When we intentionally treat our interconnected fascial tissue we can begin to unwind and release.
