About
Amy is certified in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She specializes in trauma recovery and has worked with Veterans, SA and torture survivors. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method that engages the CranioSacral System. Using a soft touch, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral and fascial systems which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has been shown to help a full spectrum of pain, illness and dysfunction, including:
Migraines and headaches
Chronic Neck and Back Pain
Stress and Tension related disorders
Spinal Cord Injuries
Post Concussion Symptoms
Chronic Fatigue
Fibromyalgia
TMJ Syndrome
Scoliosis
Central Nervous System Disorders
PTSD
Anxiety and Depression
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a type of manual manipulation of the skin, not to be confused with massage, based on the hypothesis that it will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph fluid, which carries away waste products, excess hormones and fat. Manual lymphatic drainage uses a specific amount of gentle pressure and rhythmic movements to stimulate lymph flow. It speeds up the lymphatic system 10x faster for up to 24-48 hrs. It shifts the body into a parasympathetic state of "rest and digest" and helps speed recovery from injury and illness.
Amy is also an adjunct instructor at Healing Mountain Massage School, teaching Ethics, Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Prenatal, and Acupressure. If you do not see an available appointment that will work for you, please send a message to arrange a time!
