Dawn Burnett

I am a Virginia native who grew up in the heart of horse country near The Plains, Va. I received my license to practice as a massage therapist in 2016. But even before my professional career as a massage therapist, I frequently massaged family, friends, my pets, and even the horses at the farms where I worked. This is not just a job for me, but more of a calling and God-given gift, which makes this career one of the most rewarding I’ve ever had.

My strength is providing therapeutic massages, but I am happy to adjust my pressure to give a lighter more relaxing massage. I strongly believe in customizing the massage to fit the needs of each client. During a massage, I always start with the focus or problem areas first and then move on to the rest of the body, once I know I have addressed your area of concern. My philosophy is to give each client the best quality of massage that I would want to receive if I were on the table.

I practice what I preach! I find it essential to get massages on a regular basis. Not only for my own health and well-being, but I also want to remember what it feels like to be you, the client, on the table. In addition, I learn techniques from other therapists. As a result, I have become a more caring and skilled massage therapist.

In the future, I hope to combine my passion for massage therapy with my lifelong love of dogs and horses to become certified to perform canine and equine massages.
