Cheryl Stalmann

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile!  I am Cheri Stalmann, a California Certifed Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist.  I became a massage professional after several years working in medical settings doing physical therapy with Elders and others in need of rehabilitation.  I transitioned into massage in 2023 through taking the rigorous Klose Training program in Denver, which teaches the Vodder Technique of lymphatic drainage.  In this training, I learned to work appropriately with lymphedema and swelling of different origins:  varous cancers, orthopedic injuries and surgeries, and other chronic health conditions.  I liked working "hands on" with clients so much that in 2024, I completed the 500-hour course of study at McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, CA.  After taking a 150-hour Craniosacral Therapy sequence as part of my massage school curriculum, I continued the study of this fascinating modality with the Upledger Institute, and I am CS1 certified.  I currently work-part time at a local nursing home providing massage to bedbound Elders, as well as working for the Fountain Project, a Bay Area non-profit that provides massage, acupuncture, and other healing services at no charge to community members.  In addition to my work with private clients, I am also a volunteer lymphatic massage therapist at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, an integrative health clinic for low-income women with cancer.  I bring a solid background in healthcare knowledge to my massage work, as well as empathic listening and gentle, healing touch.  I am available to work with private clients in my Berkeley or Richmond treatment spaces (as well as for in-home visits, in various East Bay locations).  I look forward to talking with you about your needs for professional, healing massage work!
