Amy Wolter

Hi my name is Amy.  I am an Oregon licensed massage therapist and the owner of Rivers Edge Massage Therapy with 26 years of experience. I received my original training, certification and license in Wichita Falls, Tx at Austin School of Massage Therapy.  The desire to pursue a career in rehabilitation therapy came early for me at the age of twelve.  At age twenty-nine, I set flight into my massage career which has been an incredibly amazing journey an ongoing.  I fell head over hills in love with the art of massage therapy and the endless rewards that comes from serving the needs of others.  Over the years, I have worn a few different hats, all to my gain but somehow, I have always been drawn back to my true calling.  Massage therapy is truly my niche, its where I thrive and where my heart is happiest.   Along the way, I have had the opportunity to perform massage on professional athletes, competitive body builders and invited to attend high end, athletic competitions as an onsite massage therapist such as, the largest cycle event in the nation; the Hotter n Hell 100.  I've had the privilege of broadening my knowledge and skills by working alongside chiropractors, physical therapist, occupational therapist and even dentist.  My background has geared me more towards rehabilitative massage or medical massage which is very different than a relaxation or spa type of massage.  However, the needs of my massage clientele have been vastly diverse from general maintenance, stress, acute pain, chronic pain, mild to severe mobility conditions, automobile injuries and everything in between.  So, with confidence l can say massage can treat a multitude of conditions and has been life changing for many.
