About Me
My name is Michael “Miquan” Fortune, and I am a Desert Storm Marine Corps veteran who has walked a long journey of healing—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Living with PTSD has shaped my life in powerful ways, and it continues to inspire my commitment to wellness and balance. Over the years, people often told me that I had “great hands,” “healing energy,” and a natural gift for helping others relax. Hearing this again and again planted a seed I could no longer ignore.Although I have been giving massages unofficially for many years, in May 2025 I officially began my professional path in massage therapy by enrolling at the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage in Falls Church, VA. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I am always looking for new ways to help my clients reconnect with their bodies, calm their minds, and restore their spirits. In my personal time, I practice yoga and meditation—both of which deepen my understanding of healing and complement my work as a therapist.Massage therapy is more than a career for me; it’s a passion and a calling. As a veteran, one of my goals is to share the benefits of massage with fellow service members, offering a holistic approach that may help reduce dependence on medication and support emotional well-being.
