About

My intention is to create partnerships with my clients, as well as with other practitioners, to provide the best comprehensive and integrative care available. I truly believe that the best outcomes result from multiple areas of expertise working together toward a common goal. This approach has also driven me to continually widen my own skill set to better identify root causes of pain and dysfunction and to treat the client as more than just their symptoms.

I started my health journey over a decade ago as a mother of two competitive athletes, and an active weekend warrior myself . Over the years, I supported all of us through injuries and even surgeries. One common theme I experienced was an isolated treatment approach with little regard to how the body works as a complex, integrated whole. My curiosity to learn more propelled me from a support role to an educated, hands-on, active role in the health of my family and others. My desire to learn and grow will never end, but my focus will always remain the same: putting each client’s goals and customized care at the center of everything I do.

Surge is a place for manual therapy that doesn’t stop at just treating the muscle. Issues don’t happen in isolation. There is a reason for your pain or dysfunction, and it goes beyond one tissue. I often work with people who have gotten temporary relief but their issue has never been fully addressed.

I treat the full terrain to get to the root cause of your symptoms and support healing from multiple angles. Because I’m also trained in multiple modalitites, I can incorporate those therapies along with focused bodywork to provide a more comprehensive treatment.

I also really value working alongside other practitioners. When there is collaboration and everyone is working together toward the same goal, you heal faster and can get back to the active life you desire.

There are three main reasons people seek manual therapy: to address pain, improve dysfunction, or relieve stress.

Whether you’re dealing with an area that is in pain, something that isn’t moving or functioning the way it should, carrying too much physical and mental tension, or all three, manual therapy can help address the body as a whole. My approach goes beyond simply treating where you feel the problem. I look at the bigger picture and work not only the muscle but the surrounding tissues and supporting systems to achieve better movement, reduce tension, and help you feel and function better.
