Description of Massage Treatments

A Therapeutic Massage is a combination of deep tissue, swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release techniques, tailored to the client's specific needs. This massage is great for pain relief, loosening tight muscles, deep relaxation, stress reduction and treating chronic issues.

The Intraoral Buccal Face Massage, also known as a face sculpting massage, is a holistic facial treatment that depuffs the face, smooth lines, wrinkles, gives a more sculpted jawline and a lifting effect. The term "Intraoral" means the therapist is wearing gloves and working inside of the mouth along the cheeks, lips and jaw. The buccal face massage is done both externally on the face and internally on the cheek, lip and jaw area.

Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle massage using very light pressure and rhythmic strokes. Lymphatic Drainage is an effective treatment for post-surgery swelling, facial fluid retention, aiding in digestion and assisting the lymphatic system to detox the body more efficiently.

TMJ Massage is a specific treatment for TMJ disorders, such as jaw pain, clenching, limited range of motion and chronic headaches. It is partly an intraoral massage and external face, head and neck massage, targeted to release jaw, face, head and neck muscles. The term "Intraoral" means the therapist is wearing gloves and working inside of the mouth on the muscles along the cheek and jawline.

Cupping is a type of treatment where small cups are placed on the body, and a vacuum pump pulls the skin up into the cup. It is a gentle technique that causes a mild pulling sensation. The suction can leave circular spots on the skin that go away in a few days. Cupping is great for targeting specific painful, tight and congested muscle tissue. It increases circulation and softens scar tissue and decreases pain.

About the Therapist

Teri has been in the field of massage therapy for over 20 years. She has worked in various types of massage envirionments, from her own private practice, to high end spas, to hot springs and wellness clinics. She's worked in Denver, several mountain towns in Colorado, and currently runs her private practice in Colorado Springs.

Teri's approach to each session is client centered, by taking the time to listen to the client's individual needs and concerns and tayloring each session accordingly. Her focus during each session is to use a balance of trained skill and technique, while also listening to the body and working intuitively.

She enjoys learning new techniques to offer her clients and loves that she is always learning and growing with the profession, even 20 years into it.

"My greatest joy as a massage therapist is being a part of a client's wellness journey and seeing them feel so much better after a session. Massage is about creating space for the body to slow down and remember it can heal itself naturally. I love being a part of that process. It is why I have been doing this for over 20 years and can't imagine doing anything else"
