Tashe Andrea Kurland

My name is Tashe Andrea Kurland and I am a Nationally Licensed and California Board Certified Massage Therapist practicing since 1994.

I was trained at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico and have lived in the Ukiah area since 1997.

I have worked for the past 32 years helping people feel better and stay healthy. I have had very rewarding experiences working with people from all parts of life, including seniors, pregnant women, infants, individuals suffering from injuries, surgeries, illness and stress, and developmentally disabled adults and teens.

Over the years I have developed an approach that combines techniques to create a deeply relaxing and healing massage designed to meet the individual needs of each client.

Bodywork Sessions available:

Swedish Massage - Relaxing and therapeutic, Swedish-style massage can be adjusted to your individual needs. Tashe, your therapist, has a firm, confident touch and can address specific areas of concern. This style of massage is done with the client lying comfortably on the massage table, undressed and properly draped with sheets.

Reiki is a powerful style of energy work that is both deeply healing and relaxing. Reiki can address physical issues as well as trauma or stress-related symptoms. It can be received in a session on it's own or in combination with Swedish-style massage. When recieved on it's own, the client lies comfortably on the massage table, fully clothed.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the body's craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch, restrictions are released to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST can be used to boost the immune system and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Pregnancy and Infant Massage - Pregnancy brings it's own pleasures and joys, as well as physical stress, fatigue and other symptoms. Tashe can address the many issues a woman is facing, from the first weeks of pregnancy through to the last. Post-partum massage is also incredibly healing for the mother and aids in recovery from childbirth.

Tashe offers infant massage (with one or both parents present) as an educational tool for parents to learn how to perform massage on their child at home.

Oncology massage is the modification of existing massage therapy techniques in order to safely work with complications of cancer and cancer treatment.  Anyone who has ever received cancer treatment, from those in active treatment to those in recovery or survivorship, as well as those at the end of life, are best served by a massage therapist who has received training in oncology massage.
