1. Welcome Message

Welcome to Shimmer Point Massage! I am honored for the opportunity to help you on your health adventure. There is value in taking steps towards bettering your health and wellness, you are amazing for finding your own reasons to move in that direction. This is meant to be a safe space for you to lay your health struggles out in the open, whether mental and/or physical. The idea is to express what you’re dealing with in order to get the best benefits you can from what Shimmer Point Massage can provide. People who get massages here will be welcomed and treated with respect. Everyone has their own issues going on and no two people are the same. People who come through can expect to feel better than before they came in.

2. About the Practitioner

Hi! My name is Clara. I am the LMT behind Shimmer Point Massage. I graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in May of 2026 and recently got my license. I use to be a CNA, and there I noticed how most of the residents I cared for couldn’t fully move around. It sparked my interest in improving people’s quality of life, which led me to get my massage license. Now I have a special interest in helping people with chronic pain. I have taken extra classes in trigger point massage and continue to learn techniques to better help people in pain. Everyone has their own issues going on and no two people are the same, I approach the people I massage with this in mind. I make a point of doing a thorough interview and tailoring the massage to the person because I value doing what’s right for them.

3. Office Policies Summary

Appointment length and late-arrival policy

Appointment lengths are offered in 30, 60, and 90 minute sessions. People who come 15 minutes late may be subject to cancellation. People who come late may still end at the original time if other clients are scheduled after and would then lose some massage session time.

Cancellation and no-show policy

Booked mobile massage sessions must be canceled 24 hours beforehand. If it is canceled in less time there will be a cancellation fee up to 100 percent of the session booked. Booked studio massage sessions must be canceled 24 hours beforehand. If it is canceled in less time there will be a cancellation fee up to 80 percent of the session booked. No shows for booked mobile massage looks like someone not answering the door or the therapist is turned away, if this happens there will be a cancellation fee of up to 100 percent of the session booked. No shows for studio massage will result in a cancellation fee of up to 80 percent of the session booked.

Accepted payment methods

debit/credit cards, gift certificates/cards, and other electronic forms of payment are accepted for services. While gratuity isn’t required, if you choose to do so, all of the above methods plus cash is accepted. Debit and credit cards will be on file in case of no-shows or less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation of services

Scope of practice and professional boundaries

All clients are expected to treat staff and other clients with respect. Inappropriate behavior, harassment, or physical contact outside of the therapeutic session is not tolerated.Clients must follow therapist guidance regarding draping, positioning, and consent throughout the session. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in termination of the session and future service refusal. Therapists are not allowed to diagnose or prescribe, please do not push for either of these things.

4. What to Expect During a Session

For your first session there will be questions about health and preferences, this is for safety and so that I can accommodate your needs. Following sessions will be less intense but still important in order to keep up with any changes in your life. Ideally you would undress to just your undergarments after the therapist leaves the room but your comfort matters so there won't be any problems if clothes stay on. There will always be safe draping protocols and the only areas exposed will be the areas being worked on. Your comfort and safety come first so please be sure to express any needs for adjustment. If you need to change position or need more or less pressure please let me know. This is a collaboration, help me help you.
