About
Aloha! I'm Sheena.
Born and raised in Hawaii, I was first introduced to massage therapy through my grandfather, a retired massage therapist. Learning from him gave me an appreciation for the healing power of touch and the importance of helping others feel their best.
After graduating from massage school in Hawaii in 2011, I took the Hawaii Massage Therapy State Exam twice and missed passing by just one point each time. At the time, I didn't have the resources to retake the exam, so my dream of becoming a licensed massage therapist was put on hold. Although life took me in different directions, my passion for massage never faded. Whenever I had the opportunity to work on family and friends, it brought me joy and reminded me that this was the path I wanted to pursue.
After recovering from a major surgery in 2024, I received my first professional spa massage. The experience reminded me of the powerful role massage can play in healing, recovery, relaxation, and overall well-being. During one of my sessions, my massage therapist encouraged me to contact the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) to explore whether I qualified for certification based on my massage education in Hawaii. What I expected to be a straightforward process turned into months of research, patience, and communication with multiple agencies, especially since the massage school I attended had closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During that time, I came to an important realization: whether or not I received certification, I wasn't giving up on my dream. I decided that if necessary, I would return to school and do whatever it took to become a licensed massage therapist. Shortly after making that decision, I learned that CAMTC could not grant certification because I did not hold a Hawaii Massage Therapy license. While it was disappointing news, it only strengthened my commitment to pursuing my goal.
In the fall of 2025, I moved to Spring, Texas, and continued that journey by enrolling at Laurel School of Massage. Upon graduating in 2026, I scheduled my state massage therapy exam on April Fools' Day. As fitting as that seemed, I told myself, "Why not? Third time's the charm." And if I didn't pass, that was okay too—I would study, retake the exam, and keep moving forward.
Thankfully, the third time truly was the charm, and I passed.
Today, I am grateful to do work that I genuinely love. My goal is to provide a welcoming, professional, and relaxing environment where every session is tailored to your individual needs. I often incorporate elements of traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage into my work, blending flowing movements with therapeutic techniques to create a personalized experience.
No two people are the same, and no two massages should be either. Whether you're seeking relaxation, relief from tension, or support in your wellness journey, I look forward to helping you feel restored, balanced, and cared for.
