I was working in the corporate world for 18 years when the memory of my first massage prompted me to change careers...

I remember having my first massage during a visit to China. The experience was wonderful. My back, arms, and legs felt loose from the massage. The chronic pain and stress I was feeling was relieved. After returning from this trip, I knew it was time to start making a change.

The transition from a corporate world job to a career in massage therapy was difficult and challenging. However, the rewards in becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) have outweighed all the difficulties and challenges I experienced. To be able to help my elderly parents with shoulder and hip joint mobilization as well as free up adhesions to allow the return of full range of motion has been only one of the many rewards I have received from becoming a massage therapist. Now I also want to help the individuals who work hard and are trying to maintain an active life.

I received my formal massage training in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Previously, my working environments have included massage and chiropractor clinics as well as massage therapist to the Arkansas Razorback men's basketball and football team. My continued education background has covered many areas including Manual Lymph Drainage, Contemporary Cupping, Burn Scar Therapy, and Medical Massage.

We specialize in massage techniques for relaxation and various medical conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, MS, Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), sciatica, low back pain, plantar fasciitis, seasonal allergies, depression, constipation, varicose veins, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD, and many other conditions.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is an unique, gentle technique that promotes lymph to drain out of a limb into an area that drains normally. MLD technique designed to boost the function of the lymphatic system, cleanse the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and toxins, reduce pain, lower the activity of the sympathetic nervous system and help enhance immune response, thereby facilitating healing of injuries, chronic conditions, inflammation, detoxification, edemas, and relaxation.

Cupping Therapy

Massage Cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction device on the skin.  A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and, depending on the type of cups being used; a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup.  The produced vacuum creates a suction effect that increases blood and lymphatic circulation systemically and to the local area, relaxes muscle tissue and support, draws stagnation, pathogenic factors and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors.

Benefits to clients: Clears stagnation, drains and moves fluids, relieves inflammation, nervous system sedation, expels congestion, stretches muscle/ connective tissue, loosens adhesions, and nourishing blood supply to skin.

Arthrossage

Arthrossage is different from the more traditional swedish or deep tissue massage.  This is clothing-on treatment that focuses on increasing flexibility, lubricating joints and lengthening muscles.  Arthrossage can be used in conjuction with sports massage or lymphatic drainage and may even be considered helpful tool for arthritis prevention.  Arthrossage providing pain relief and restoring function for those suffering from Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, MS, muscle strain, musculoskeletal pain, or surgery recovery.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral therapy is light-touch approach that can create dramatic improvement in your life and wellness. It releases tensions in deep in the body to relieve pain, dysfunction, and improve whole-body health performance.
