Visceral Manipulation

About

My passion is translating what your organs are saying, so when you come to see me, we may do some unconventional work, and typically this is a good thing!

My specialty is Visceral Manipulation, which just means helping your organs move better. This can include anything from your digestive organs to your heart, brain, and/or your pelvic floor organs.

To be successful in your journey, my goal is to help you understand what messages your body has stored throughout your life and teach you to have a dialogue with all parts of yourself. Depending on how deep we go, this may require a commitment to oneself.

Typical conditions I treat, but are not limited to:

*Organ prolapse

*Scar tissue from surgeries, C-sections, chronic illness, injury, etc.

*Herniation

*Trauma (physical, emotional, sexual)

*Pregnancy (manually making room for the baby)

*Post-natal care, bringing reproductive organs back to alignment after childbearing.

*Slow gut peristalsys/ dysbyosis

*Pelvic floor therapy

*Post-concussion brain work

*Somatic/emotional work (connecting to Inner Child/true self)

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral manipulation enhances the normal mobility and tissue motion of the organs of the visceral system. Hypertonicity, displacement, and adhesions can all cause organs to work against each other, creating chronic irritation and fixed, abnormal points of tension. The visceral organs are dependent on their ability to move freely in the visceral cavity to then work correctly and efficiently. When they are pulled out of their effective positions, they cease to function properly. By freeing each organ to work compatibly with the others, a therapist can potentially alter and improve the structure and functioning of the entire body.

Attunement

Attunement is a way of tuning in to the different parts of us. Most of us feel disconnected from ourselves and our path in life. Tuning in may have been unsafe in the past, and we may not even realize that we are living life in a disconnected fashion. How do we establish alignment between all the different parts of us: our body, mind, spirit, soul, emotions, and so on?? Being attuned to oneself means there is the ability to be tuned in to those around you as well and to the radiant source of healing and light - God.

Attunement balances the flow of energy through the endocrine glands, organs, bones, and other tissues of the body—establishing alignment between the body, mind, and emotions and harmonizing these elements with the “spirit,” described as the radiant source of life and healing.

Breath Therapy

Breath therapy, which can ease anxieties and reduce stress, is the use of respiratory exercises to open lung passages, oxygenate the blood, and cleanse the body by eliminating gaseous toxins. The client is encouraged to breathe deeply while the therapist works the appropriate muscles.

Pelvic floor therapy

The Pelvic floor therapy practiced here is related to organ prolapse, trauma, and herniation. Further sessions may be needed for strengthening with a Physical Therapist after we deal with root trauma in our office.

Spiritual Healing

Spiritual healing is a form of divinely inspired and divinely guided spiritual healing. It consists of inviting God to the session, the laying on of hands, prayer, and love. It is practiced in the comfort of one's faith and conscience, which may vary from one client to another.
