About
How I Think
Our bodies are remarkably adaptive. They learn to compensate, protect, and hold patterns of tension or posture that once served a purpose. Over time, those same adaptations can limit us: restricting range of motion, locking in old postural habits, and closing off the possibility of new, more capable movement. I see bodywork as a way to clear that slate, releasing the body's compensatory holding patterns so new positions, postures, and movement patterns have room to emerge. And that physical opening matters beyond the body itself: when someone moves with more ease and capability, it tends to show up in how they feel, too. They become more at ease, more confident, more able to meet what their life, work, passion, and art ask of them. It's not about returning to how things used to be; it's about expanding what's physically and mentally possible now.
What I Care About
Real, felt relief and reconnection, not just temporary loosening of tight muscles. I care about helping people come back into relationship with their own bodies. I'm committed to the dignity of the person on the table.
The Problems I Gravitate Toward
Chronic physical patterns, tension that keeps returning, disconnection from the body that's gone on so long it feels normal, pain that's tangled up with stress. I'm drawn to clients who need their bodies to keep functioning for something they love whether it's a craft, a vocation, a physical practice, and who are looking for more than a temporary fix.
