About Connected Body Massage

Connected Body Massage is a mobile massage service that offers massage in the comfort of your own home. I offer a combination of relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, and tuina massage. For every client, I work with you to combine the three types into a specific massage just for you. Come and try it and see for yourself!

Relaxation massage is a traditional swedish massage that uses massage oil or lotion to glide over the muscles. This reduces mental tension and stress as well as reducing tension in targeted muscles and knots. It is great for general relaxation and reducing muscle pain.

Deep tissue massage digs deeper into the body to stretch and knead muscles and tendons. It is great for reducing tension in muscles, reducing muscle knots, and increases flexiblity and mobility of joints. Along with generating overall relaxation, it reduces pain, aids recovery after working out, and helps heal chronic injuries.

Tuina uses traditional massage techniques along with acupressure to promote wellness and healing. It is relatively unknown in the US, but has been practiced alongside acupuncture in China for a very long time. It's techniques can reduce pain, increase mobility of joints, and help heal chronic injuries like deep tissue massage. It can also aid the work of acupuncturists in your healing journey.

I started studying massage along with the internal kungfu martial arts. My kungfu school taught Xingyi, Bagua, Tai Chi, and qigong, along with tuina massage, a type of massage that has been part Tradional Chinese Medicine and acupture for a long time. Tuina is an excellent type of massage that uses knowledge of the meridians and acupoints to generate therapeutic healing. For many years, I studied the martial arts and actually avoided learning tuina. Everyone told me that eventually I would get bitten by the tuina bug and, yes, I finally did. When the opportunity arrived for me to attend Spa Tech Institute, I jumped at the chance to study Swedish and Deep Tissue massage and increase my knowledge and abilities. Swedish and deep tissue massage complement the tuina by adding a deeper knowledge of muscles and tendons and how they work. I now offer all three types of massage for relaxation and for therapy. I also teach the internal martial arts and qigong.

Service area: This is a mobile massage service that provides massage in your home or office. I serve Boxford and surrounding communities. For locations more than a 25 minute drive from Boxford there will be an additional transportation fee
