Reiki (霊気?, /ˈreɪkiː/) is a form of energy medicine that repairs the bio-energy field of the body. It uses a technique commonly called hands-on-healing which allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium or balance. Ki is the life force which flows through all things. Illness is felt to be the result of imbalance of the energies flowing through the body. Reiki treatments may help clients with physical or emotional conditions.

The client remains fully clothed in a comfortable position with soft music in the background during a Reiki session. Most sessions are very relaxing and clients go into a light sleep or transcendental state. Sessions typically last an hour (the first session will allow 90 minutes to give time for health information to be reviewed with the client). Sessions typically are booked every two to four weeks to allow for clearing energies and then maintaining that state of health.

Karen Wheeler has been practicing Reiki since 2005 & has completed her Reiki Master training which means she can give hands on treatments, send Reiki energy from a distance and train others to become Reiki practitioners.

A typical Reiki session lasts about 40 minutes from head-to- toe.

Initial Reiki sessions are booked for 90 minutes to allow for discussion and then a complete hands-on Reiki session.  The cost is $100.

Follow up sessions are booked for 60 minutes to allow for discussion and then a complete hands-on Reiki session.  The cost is $75.

Distance Reiki sessions can be arranged by contacting Karen at reikibykwheeler@gmail.com .  The cost is $50.

Karen offers nutritional counseling through this Reiki practice because she knows that persons need access to this information.

Initial nutritional counseling session is 1.5 hours for $150; follow up sessions are $50 for every 30 minutes.

As of May 2025, Karen has retired from Prairie Health & Wellness so she has even more availability for Reiki!   She does Reiki out of more than one location so contact her to find out what works best for you & her.
