Joy Storch is the proud owner and operator of Follow Joy in Elmira, NY. Her office is located in Creative Designs Hair Salon by Jim's Gym. Joy is a lifelong Chemung County resident with 17+ years of experience as a Massage Therapist and energy worker with a deep appreciation and understanding of the therapeutic health needs of her community members. Joy is always expanding her education around the needs of her community members, such as Health Coaching, Integrative Energy Therapy®, Sound Body Work, Reiki, Ordination, Ho'oponopono, Esthetics, Shamanism, Yoga, and Social Work. Joy feels that when we physically feel good, these good feelings show up in other areas of our lives. This is just one of the reasons why Joy is dedicated to providing personalized, therapeutic massage and energy services with dedication to each client and their well-being.

The prices below are for therapeutic, integrated massage and are subject to change. Please inquire when scheduling your next appointment: A typical full-body session will include work on your back, neck, shoulders, legs, hands, arms, head, and feet. Each session is customized. Therapeutic, integrated massage includes various techniques with the intention to relax and relieve muscular tension, as well as to reduce overall stress levels.

Enjoy some together time with a couples massage. Think of holidays or special dates that matter to you as a couple. Inquire about full details. Due to the nature of the amount of teamwork it takes to coordinate a couple's massage, the cancellation policy requires 48 hours' notice.

Tune me up, please

Enjoy some relaxing time while receiving sound and crystal energy. Tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, tincha, Angel bell, crystals, sage, palo santo, pendulum, and/or feathers are used to clean and tune up you and your energy centers. Sessions are customized and last roughly 45 minutes of discussion and service.

Somatic Mindfulness (Stillpoint Method) Coaching:

Sessions can be in person, over the phone, via Zoom.

Somatic Mindfulness method is not therapy, and yet it is trauma-informed. Trauma can be stored in the body, impacting our nervous system and our lives in various ways. When we react to our past traumas as if they are currently happening today, we may feel that we are right back to that particular time of the trauma experience. This may give us a sense of danger and trigger dysregulation of our nervous system, prompting a response. I will be with you, guiding you as we focus on an area of focus that you would like to investigate. It is believed that safety is the treatment, therefore various regulating techniques will be utilized to keep you safe and in the present. This method will also allow you to know and trust yourself.

Policies

Cancellation/ Rescheduling Policy
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24-hour advance notice is required when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours' advance notice, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid before your next scheduled appointment. Due to the nature of couples' massages, 48 hours are required when canceling or rescheduling.

No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start the treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment given, you will be responsible for the “full” session scheduled. Out of respect and consideration for your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly, be on time, and consider arriving about 10 – 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

I provide an intuitive, integrated, nonsexual, therapeutic massage, and I will not work with anyone who is behaving inappropriately, asking for extra services not listed on the menu of services provided, or requesting a date. A zero-tolerance policy is in place, as stated on the intake form, which all clients sign acknowledging these policies.
