Orthopedic Massage is the assessment and treatment of pain and dysfunction in the body. An important part of my work is your involvement.  The more you can be aware of your body during each session, the better your results.  I can help you to relax and then you can help yourself to release. In this way, we work together - it's a two way street [though we're traveling in the same direction].

In 2007, I was trained in orthopedic massage in the Tom Hendrickson Method as well as from Whiteny Lowe's system. I have been certified by both methods. I also have a certification from Harbin Hot Springs in Swedish massage and subsequently helped to teach the course for several years. 

Since learning yoga and meditation in the late 70's, it has become a daily practice for me with profound effects. The traditional Ashtanga yoga I learned is steeped in selfless service, humility, non violence, truthfulness and subtle wisdom. I bring these qualities to my massage practice for a deeper understanding of the nature of life and we the people who live it.
