My name is Sylvia.I have been practicing Massage Therapy/Bodywork for 15 years . I have worked in most Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip,you might ask how that might be advantageous to a clinical setting. The people who I have worked on came from all over the world,they came with different issues ranging from car accidents injuries, burn victims, skin and muscular conditions, missing appendages,cancer or quadriplegia and folks in the final stages of life. I do not hold a Medical Certificate but I was required to pass a board exam and must keep up on training in order to maintain my licensure. I have a small book of private clients that continue to this day to be regulars. I have turned potential clients away when their conditions were beyond my scope. Even though I have more confidence in myself as the years go by, it goes without saying that I do not want to cause harm, I know what I know and in this profession there is always so  more to learn. When a client with a certain issue wants to address it I research the leaders in my field ( osteopaths, bodyworkers and massage therapy educators) I refer to articles and books, I develop my protocols into custom bodywork. I welcome direction from Physical Therpaists, Chiropractors and Doctors in order to facilitate a positive outcome.
