Now that I have been a massage therapist for more than 15 years, I thought it was time to review my "philosophy" around massage and bodywork.

As a massage therapist I am a facillitator helping the Person in Charge/Massage Client transform their nervous system into a relaxation state. In the relaxation state they may release body patterns which no longer serve them. They may increase circulation around injuries to possibly speed healing. They may learn new ways of feeling or holding their body in space and increase their range of motion. They may release nagging tension they have been holding onto for decades.

Each session is different. Each client is different each time I see them. I am different each time also. 
 

As a facillitator for the body's "rest and digest" state I honor my client's need for more focused and specific massage therapy, or more gentle work. Often, great change can take place with brave, quiet work.
