Myofascial Release (MFR) is a safe and very effective technique  that involves applying gentle sustained pressure to the body effecting the myofascial tissue to eliminate pain and restore motion.  Trauma, inflammation, and surgical procedures create restrictions in the fascia that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in x-rays, and common scans.
