About
I do Teletherapy. I'm a MIndful-Somatic Therapy Practioner & Counselor, who utilizes the core aspects of SE/Somatic Experiencing® and Mindfulness Training with his clients and Cofounder of the Mindfulness Care Center. My background also includes being a former director of a Healing Arts School. Our work together will allow for the nervous system and thought patterns, to return to a natural state of calm and wholeness.; SEP, LAMT, MBSR.
My work specializes in the release of physical stresses, emotional congestion, tensions and anxieties from; accidents, repetitive stressful situations, surgeries, verbal and/or physical abuse, feelings of abandonment, betrayal, depression, near death states, early womb or childhood trauma, PTSD or various other wounds or events related from birth to the present moment.
As Client and Practitioner, we work together in releasing freezes and blocks in how the body holds life’s “little traumas” and “big traumas” that over stress our bodily systems and thinking patterns. The body can learn how to reestablish its ability to stabilize and regulate itself without becoming overwhelmed. Our work together will allow for the nervous system and thought patterns, to return to a natural state of calm and wholeness.
You are welcome to contact me to set up an appointment or if you have any questions that may support you in better understanding my work.
Client Comments:
“Working with Rik has brought me a new dimension in body awareness. No longer just the repository for a lifetime of illness and trauma. I find my body is more of a partner in dealing with the difficulties in life…Rik is a gifted Practitioner, Therapist and Teacher. I am grateful to be working with him” – CP“
In my personal experience, Rik’s professionalism, skills and empathy are unmatched by any other in a world where everyone talks and few listen or connect. Rik has a rare gift in being able to be present and open others up, mentally, physically and spiritually. It’s clear that he also takes great pride in what he does and that he never lets himself settle…he is always on a quest to improve himself” – SS
