About
I have been a Certified Massage Therapist for over 25 years, with a continual thirst for knowledge and updating my skill base. I am also a Registered Nurse (28+ years), and as Holistic RN and AHNA member have a deep understanding and commitment to wellness care. I have always considered the body-mind-spirit connection as intertwined to ones individual wellness. To this end, I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiological Physchology from UC Davis. This was a merging of the areas of study in biology, physiology, psychcology and sociology. While going to college I supported myself as a Nursing Assistant which I had been certified in high school. Durning my CNA training, one of the evening shift jobs was to give the patients back rubs to help them be more comfortable and sleep better. This was my "formal" introduction to massage therapy. I went on to get my RN degree, and worked in the specialities of Pediactrics and Labor and Delivery, OB nursing. While working in OB, the innovative nurse educator at the hospital offered Healing Touch classes, starting my journey into "energy" medicine. I attended Mueller College of Holistic Studies in San Diego getting my Massage Technician, sports, spa, and accupressure training. I started my own Wellness Practice, intergrating the modalities I have learned to create the best intentioned experience for my clients. I recently completed more coursework in Arizona, and obtained AZ licensure.I continue learning from others so that I can be the best practitioner I can be.
