A fascination with movement has been the catalyst which propels me down, along, around and through the "rabbit hole" adventure of biomechanics enthusiasm.  

The journey has been most interesting, informative, challenging and deeply satisfying.  Aerobics taught me the major muscles of the body, hackey sac introduced me to my glutes in a way which can only be fully understood by bending to the ground 600 times to pick up the darn thing while learning to successfully execute an intended action.

Running and jogging have taught me the benefit of rhythmic repetition.  Ballet, tap, jazz, swing, salsa and middle eastern dance have built a foundation of technique.  Bike commuting has illustrated the benefit of harnessing human power while mountain biking has helped to refine my reflexes.  Skiing has provided insight into body segmentation and differentiation.  Rock climbing has been an illustration of the meditative benefit to complete focus, and also how technique can double one's power.  Yoga has been the frosting on the whole cake, smoothing out the rough edges and bringing everything together.  

Massage continually deepens my understanding of the muscles' actions and effects.  The body's components work together to bring the body into motion.  Proper body mechanics make the motion smooth and fluid.  Efficient movement plays an extremely important, and often overlooked, role in each person's ultimate experience.  

Through massage, I offer a conceptual overview to people who want a greater understanding of movements' effects.  The information comes in the form of words as well as touch, with each session ideally comprised of the perfect ratio.  Together, we have the potential to open doors and contribute positive inputs to your body's systems!
