Balanced Oak Massage & Wellness is a small independently owned massage studio rooted in the Historic Oak Cliff Community which lies directly southwest of Downtown Dallas, Texas.
Balanced Oak is owned by Janie Ottwell, LMT, CESMT. She is a longtime resident of Oak Cliff, and felt it was important to set down roots for her business in this vibrant and eclectic area.??
Janie is a 2014 graduate of Hands-On Approach School of Massage in Dallas, Texas, where she completed over 500 hours of training, including anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release therapies. She has also completed many continuing education courses in a variety of subjects including palpatation, Thai massage, and acupressure. Janie has been a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals since 2014.
She has helped many clients get relief from issues like chronic headaches, back pain, neck and shoulder pain, and sciatica. She can personalize a massage around what your body needs… whether that is relaxation, a therapeutic focus, or a combination of both.
In 2019, she completed a course at Equissage Texas, and is also a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist.
