Joan Emond

I began my massage therapy training in 1992.  At the same time, I began studying Ortho-Bionomy, and became an Associate Practitioner in 2015.  Orthobionomy is a system of bodywork based on the philosophy that the body is able to self-correct when allowed, using gentle and non-invasive techniques. It is deeply relaxing, aids in decreasing pain, soothing joints, improving flexibility, and range of movement. Ortho-Bionomy allows the body and nervous system to release dysfunctional patterns of stress and tension, and restore normal functioning. 

Over my career of 32 years, I have worked in spas, chiropractic offices, health clubs, a residential treatment facility, and most recently, hospice care.

I offer treatment sessions focused on deep relaxation, alleviation of pain and tension patterns, and the well being of mind/body.
