Jessica Calix

Jessica attended the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, CA. After a motherhood hiatus, she returned to pursing her career in massage therapy with an appreciation for slowing down and caring for our whole selves during the busier seasons of our lives. She spends her free time with her 6 year old son Chago at parks, libraries, museums, on bike rides, hiking, and volunteering at his school.

Jessica enjoys providing custom massages from extra focus on a particular area to a well-rounded full body swedish massage. She blends in a bit of sensory repatterning, exploring the bodies' natural rhythm and movement, with the intention of allowing it to feel more light and free. Whether clients enjoy massage pressure light as feather or deep tissue, communication is important to Jessica to ensure an experience that feels good to each body. She also learned deep tissue sculpting at IPSB to slowly sink and melt deeply into muscle tissue. 

Recommendations are available each session to continue muscle tension maintenance, relaxation, and healing from home. Combined with massage therapy her goal is to help clients feel present in their bodies with less discomfort and provide gentle support through the process.
