I work collaboratively with clients to help them re-connect to their innate sense of well-being and wholeness.  I work especially well with clients who are committed to participating in their own healing and who want to experience a greater sense of empowerment in their lives.  Somatic experiencing, combined with craniosacral therapy, can be especially helpful after falls, concussions, medical trauma, car accidents, sexual assault, abuse, and other experiences that disregulate the nervous system and lead us to feel out of sorts -- whether constantly keyed up and on alert or numb and spaced out.  Even periods of high stress can be disregulating for the nervous system.  Somatic experiencing and craniosacral therapy help restore the nervous system's ability to regulate itself in a healthy way, to move out of shock and back into a sense of connection with ourselves, our loved ones, and the world around us.  For clients coming for massage, I tailor sessions to what they need, whether relaxation massage meant to promote a sense of well-being or deep-tissue and sports massage focused on addressing injuries or specific areas of tension and constriction. 

I am a certified Somatic Experiencing practitioner (SEP) and am licensed in the State of Massachusetts to practice massage therapy.  I  graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2002, with training in Swedish, deep-tissue, and sports massage.  After completing the three-year training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) in 2012 with Steve Hoskinson, I completed a year and a half of post-graduate work -- Body Awareness and Somatic Education with Dave Berger -- focused on combining SE with touch work.  I have taken the first three levels of training in craniosacral therapy with the Upldedger Institute and completed a year of training in biodynamic craniosacral therapy with Michael Dunning.  I am also a level one Reiki practitioner.
