Heather Sweeney

Sadhana Integrative Manual Therapies is a sole proprietorship owned by Heather M. Palleiko, L/CMT. Ms. Palleiko has been a certified and licensed Master Massage Therapist practicing Manual Therapy in the State of California since May of 2012. She is a member of the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine as well as Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.

Heather worked in integrative medicine, serving as the on staff Clinical Specialist in manual therapy for The Center for East-West Medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine for five and a half years. It was her time at UCLA providing patient care, teaching medical students, and lecturing on the benefits of integrative medicine, self-care and integrative manual therapy, that was part of the catalyst to opening SadhanaIMT. Heather continues her affiliation with the Center for East West Medicine as a workshop leader for their elective course.

Prior to her appointment at UCLA, Ms. Palleiko honed her skills as a teaching assistant at the California Healing Arts College and working in a physical therapy practice. Over the last six years Heather has accepted private clients on a limited basis.

Heather’s evidenced-based manual therapy and wellness coaching sessions are specifically tailored to address each client’s medical, emotional, and spiritual needs. She draws from Eastern and Western modalities including but not limited to neuromuscular therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, Trager-based movement re-education, positional release technique, acupressure (Traditional Chinese Medicine paradigm), lymphatic drainage massage, and Swedish style massage. Her wellness coaching has been informed by the medical, social, and emotional arts MedSEA training program through UCLArts & Healing, meditation, and mindfulness practices.

Ms. Palleiko specializes in disorders of the Head, Neck & Shoulder, Back Pain, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Geriatrics, and Palliative care.
