About
Using an integrative massage approach, Cecilia provides a nurturing, therapeutic, and deeply relaxing experience. When necessary, she employs firm/deep bodywork and trigger point therapy on areas that hold tension. Her work aims to support each individual, and facilitate physical and emotional healing with an objective to improve overall well-being.
Cecilia enjoys working with a wide variety of bodies to address their individual needs but the goal remains the same; to help clients move toward wholeness and connection of mind, body, and spirit.
At her core, Cecilia is a caregiver who believes strongly in self-care. She loves receiving massage, attending kundalini yoga classes, and will always find time to chase the sunrise and sunset. She is an avid road cyclist, with aspirations of becoming a great mountain biker, and cyclo-cross rider. Cecilia loves massage because she is empowered by the embodiment it requires of herself and the person she is massaging.
Cecilia earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2007, and spent the last 10 years working with at-risk youth, adolescents, and adults on various health behavior projects. While the work was meaningful, she needed more connection. Cecilia decided to nurture her dreams and pursue a degree in Therapeutic Massage in 2017. She received training in various modalities including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. In December, 2019, Cecilia graduated with highest honors from the Community College of Rhode Island with an A.S. in Therapeutic Massage. Cecilia received 60 hours of hospital-based oncology massage training through internship as well as training in myofascial scar release for burn scars.
Her family and friends call her Cece, and you can do the same.
