Cara Heerdt is a Somatic Practitioner who provides whole system support by working with the muscles, bones, fluids, organs and energy of the body. She has been enjoying her work in this field since 2010 and is a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Zero Balancing Practitioner and Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner. The most prominent tools in my Massage practice are Therapeutic Deep Tissue/Sports, Swedish, Orthopedic, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Neuromuscular Re-Patterning, Myofascial Release and PNF Stretching. My work as an energy healer is informed by Zero Balancing, Process Acupressure, Advanced Cranial Therapy, and Energy Kinesiology. Zero Balancing and Central Axis Integration are my tools for gentle skeletal alignment and to serve the organs and fluids of the body I draw upon Manuel Lymphatic Drainage techniques from Vodder, BMC influences and Visceral Manipulation.
After a more than a decade as a professional dancer and researcher of somatic movement studies Cara is a resource for those seeking to empower their own self care routines in between bodywork sessions.
