Arra Schippers

Arrabella Schippers is a nationally certified Medical Manual Therapy Professional and a licensed massage therapist with the state of Illinois. She specialize in therapeutic and Asian bodywork as well as sports massage therapy and fitness training. Arrabella’s approach is unique as it focuses on specific musculoskeletal imbalances and works towards full body balance and neutrality. With a multitude of modalities, each session is customized to your specific needs and goals for better health and wellbeing.
Arrabella has worked as a manual therapist since 2005 and earned her advanced certification in Holistic Health and Medical Manual Therapy from The Blue Heron Academy of Natural Healing Science in 2006. She went on to earn a certification in holistic and clinical nutrition in 2006, and certification in personal fitness training from The American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2007. She studied Human Biology at Northwestern Michigan College and Grand Valley University from 2004-2008 and studied traditional Chinese medicine and Asian bodywork at both Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine 2011-2012. In 2010 she was a guest speaker at Ferris State University on the importance of including holistic health training to those going into the field of medicine and patient care. Arrabella is currently nationally certified as a provider of professional continuing education in the field of medical massage and therapeutic bodywork from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
During her ten year professional career she has worked in rehabilitative care and sports medicine, as well as in Chiropractic care, and wellness spa services. Her background in martial arts influences her fitness training style as her focus is on functional strength, endurance and flexibility. She works with each client on setting and achieving goals and integrating health and wellness into their lifestyle for sustainability and lasting benefit.
