Hi, My name is Amy Lindsay-Joynt.

I am the owner of ALJ massage and Lymphatics LLCin North Central Austin TX.

  As a recipient of body work for over 40yrs now the benefits have long been clear to me. My love and fascination with massage and the mind/body connection led me to a month-long work study program of Esalen Massage at Esalen Big Sur back  in 1996. For the next 8 years massage was a hobby as I continued my work as a studio painter while raising my daughter with my husband in Austin, Texas. In 2008 I enrolled at Lauterstien-Conway School of Massage and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in Texas.

       My career as a  massage therapist (LMT) has had me working in a variety of settings from chiropractic, to resort spas, to private practice. Over a decade was spent working, in the upscale spa environment and was promoted to lead therapist at Milk and Honey Spa Downtown 2017-2019. This environment allowed me to utilize all my skills and advanced my training. Upscale spas require LMTs knowledgeable in Therapeutic massage and the specialized body treatments on their menus. My advanced training in Medi-cupping, cranio sacral, reflexology, neuromuscular/trigger point therapy ,myofascial release, and aromatherapy, refined my technique. The advanced training in Lymphatic drainage and Oncology massage gave me the opportunity to work with clients with more specific needs and define my focus as a therapist.

Though deep work is often necessary and important, sometimes it's the more gentle, light touch that can have the most profound effect on the body. Over a decade of spa work and my Vodder training in Lymphatic drainage has taught me that. I design each treatment for the individual.I currently offer Therapeutic Massage , Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Oncology Massage. When an individual requests one of these services it's usually because they have a specific condition that requires special considerations: Post surgical edema, fibromyalgia, detoxification, migraines, lymphedema, lipedema, autoimmune disorders, undergoing cancer treatments or in survivorship but are at risk for lymphedema, just to name a few. This is why It’s important to design each treatment for the individual. Most treatments can include hot towels and aromatherapy (as long as it's indicated for the treatment and individual) as well as add ons like cupping,hot stones and dry brushing. I feel that the best results occur when the client feels safe, rested, comforted and informed.
