Bowenwork is a gentle manual therapy that activates our innate healing mechanism by using a light rolling 'move' over specific receptors throughout the body.  This 'move' prompts a necessary neurological message to the brain causing the restorative healing system to seek out and adjust tension patterns throughout the whole body and promotes balance in practically every system within the body.  Sometimes you can actually feel that happening if you focus and 'listen' to your body 'talk'.

Joy now offers a remarkable scar release technique that improves scar sites caused by planned and unplanned surgeries or injuries.   In only 1-3 visits, old or new scars will soften, sensation can be restored, and restrictions released.  This may be included in your Bowenwork session or done as a stand alone appointment.
