Traditional Thai Massage – for relaxation and stress relief

Traditional Thai massage is performed fully clothed on a specially designed, cotton mat on the floor.  Thai massage involves gentle stretching and pressure along energy lines to clear stagnation, improve range of motion, relieve pain and liberate energy. All stretching and pressure are within comfortable limits – clients do not have to be “flexible”. 

Thai Herbal Compress – for relaxation, stress relief and pain relief

Amazing. A Thai herbal compress session combines traditional Thai massage with “Luk Pra Kob”–a warm herbal compress ball with wonderful anti-inflammatory benefits. Clients who try this wonder how they ever lived without it!  The Thai herbs, including varieties of ginger, lemongrass, camphor, kaffir lime and other elements, are steamed in a firm cotton bag approximately the size of a small grapefruit. The firmness of the herbal ball is such that the therapist can use it for the massaging itself, rolling the compress gently or firmly over the muscles and along the body. The heat of the compress and the fantastic aroma of the herbs conspire to release muscle tension extremely quickly and provide an experience unlike any other massage.  It is the ultimate in relaxation. Those who try herbal compress rave about it, and always come back for more! Highly recommended! 

You can include a facial to your session using specially prepared small facial herbal balls for additional $20. 

Clinical Thai Bodywork – for pain relief

Feel broken? Have a specific pain issue that needs relief?  Clinical Thai Bodywork* analyzes and targets specific issues of pain and dysfunction using the principles of Trigger Point therapy, Thai bodywork and traditional Chinese medicine. CTB is often quite effective with difficult or intractable pain conditions. The therapist may use herbal compress or other additional modalities during the treatment. We frequently treat clients who have pain that remains unresolved after they’ve tried their primary care doctor, pharmaceuticals, orthopedic specialists, physical therapy, chiropractic, cortisone injections or even surgery! We frequently hear “I wish I had known about Thai bodywork sooner!”
