Paula Brookmire

Paula Brookmire is a massage therapist who treats your body in a way unique to you. She may do a posture evaluation or just listen at your head or feet to see what your body wants. The goal is to find what is out of balance and causing pain, tension, anxiety, postural distortions, etc. She integrates a clinical approach with body-listening techniques (visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy). She has extensive experience working with mature clients. During a session, she may use a variety of techniques: fascia (connective tissue) release, lymph drainage (on a thigh, for example), trigger-point therapy for headaches or arm/leg restrictions, visceral manipulation (via the Jean Pierre Barral method) to help the movement of internal organs, or a simple, calming massage. She may suggest breathing technicques, therapeutic movements or use of electric massagers. She will teach you how to treat yourself. She has been an MT in the Milwaukee, Wis., area since 1996. She has completed a human dissection course and hundreds of hours of continuing education.
