Malik Rodriguez

Malik has been a Certified Massage Therapist since February 2022. He completed his schooling from the National Holistic Institute in 2022 . Through the program he learned the basics of massage. He then decided to go through NHI's advanced program which covered their Neuromuscular program. Since graduation he has continued to educate himself with different modalities such as cupping and pre/post natal massage.

Malik's passion has always been helping people as best as he can. He spends his off days taking care of and spending time with his daughter. Through the years leading up to being a massage therapist, he has been one to extend a helping hand whenever possible. Through massage he has conversations with his clients to educate them on what could be causing some discomforts or pain and aids in the rehab portion to help try and give them some relief during their day to day life.

His first job as a massage therapist was with a sports medicine program at Diablo Valley College in 2022 where he learned more in depth sports related massage. This job helped him within the investigation aspect of massage. This job is where his love for body working and helping others really shined. He then started working for a massage studio. Since 2022 he has been striving to always improve further his massage skills. He still looks into continuing education and what would be beneficial into adding into his practice.

Malik's bodywork style is more focused on helping a client with any issues they have been having. He performs full body massage with focus work or he can also, with clients consent, do main focus work on a specific problem area. Malik's main goal for massage is to have the client come off the table with a good noticeable difference within their body and to come out with more education on possible things that are causing their issue and how to address them on their own at home/gym. Malik performs firm Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cupping, Pre/Post Natal, and incorporates some stretching (if he feels like it would be beneficial for his patient).
