Jose Orozco

Hello! My name is Jose Orozco and I was born and raised in the beautiful southern Colorado town of Alamosa. I have been practicing massage therapy since 2006 and recieved my training under the supervision of Marcia Heusted, ND and previous director of Trinidad State Junior College, Valley Campus. I have since recieved my AAS in Holistic Health and a BA in Health Science.

My wellness philosophy is "Creating Healthy Communities." I practice my philosophy by offering the best services in deep tissue massage, hot stone, aromatherapy, and Health Education. As a part of the health education title I have worked with the local university's diversity center to offer wellness programing. These "Wellness Wednesdays" are known for offering free health screenings, free healthy lunch with a health related lecture, a chair massage food drive, and healthy nutrition courses and collaboration with physical activity groups. This programming has been a god send for being able to network with health and wellness organizations in the area which also increases my referral network!

As mentioned above, I offer a variety of modalities that help to create just the healing that you need! Just recently, I have started working with an acupuncturist so we can optimize the health of our visitors and community. The longest standing modaility that I have practiced is Reiki, an energy modality that focuses on the life force enrgy, or ki, to create healing on all levels of being. I have also had the priveledge of offering group meditation, hot stone massage, and aromatherapy. My favorite modality that I use has to be massage therapy of which there are many different types that I integrate into a session to create the optimal experience for each client.
