Somatic Enquiries invites curiosity regarding the therapeutic, social, and practical threads that weave us while centering solidarity and mutual health aid. I provide counsel, analysis, and commentary on the social structures inflecting our ability to care for ourselves and others–Trauma Informed Public Health Consultation.

My life experience as a caregiver provides a clarity of vision enhanced by practice and education. I offer personal therapy explorations of how triggers and overwhelm may be managed with a felt sense and coherent big picture view. I offer education to those seeking to understand Somatic Experiencing’s unique application to issues of personal agency and collective welfare.

I offer 1:1 Somatic Experiencing sessions. I also offer consultation, presentations, and education to groups on the intersections of our nervous systems, society, and history regarding “care.”

Practice makes wisdom and these are a few easy, regular somatic tools many of us have at hand. Doing any of these in a daily or hourly rhythm helps me stay present amidst constant change. take a few easy breaths. stretch a little in any direction. notice something interesting nearby– it could be a color, a shape, a sound, a smell, or a sensation of temperature. consider that you are here, now … and … that may be enough

I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), Licensed Massage Therapist, public health professional and radio producer known for working with multi-disciplinary teams to produce dynamic reports, social insights, and policy proposals.  I have provided a variety of community services, legislative engagements, and grassroots participation in multiple venues.  Whether responding to COVID-19, providing individual patient assessment, creating content for community radio, or family caregiving, my career demonstrates crisis preparedness, trauma-informed community engagement, and a commitment to the transformative power of information and education to promote health equity.

Over 20 years of hands-on work with chronically ill, disabled, and disadvantaged patients provided me with practical exposure to the impact of health inequities on concrete lives.   Working as a reporter and contact tracer covering COVID-19 taught me how to work in complex institutions with nuanced and developing epidemiological data while translating that information to the everyday person in phone calls and radio reports.  A pathway that includes a recent MPH degree in 2023, my education testifies to the integration offered by his unique perspective on policy concerning formal and informal caregivers, social equity, healthcare utilization, and crisis response.
