Elliot Evans

My name is Elliot Evans, a licensed massage therapist and the founder of Rocinante Healing House. My mission is to help individuals achieve optimal well-being and restore balance to their lives through the power of therapeutic touch.

I completed Whitney Lowe's certificate course in Orthopedic Massage which provides a framework for assessing and treating your pain using a range of modalities, including trigger point therapy, deep tissue, myofascial release, cupping, NMT, and others. Additionally, I have been receiving direct, hands-on instruction from Rolfer's in order to better understand and apply orthopedic massage techniques in the context of Structural Integration.

I am trained as an instructor through Patrick McKeown's Buteyko Clinic International in the Buteyko Breathing Method, which can help address symptoms of asthma, depression, anxiety, sleep distrubances, sleep apnea, and TMJD. I've personally found this breathing method effective for some of my own symtoms, as well as having a high degree of crossover with the somatic approach to the regulating the nervous system I am trained in by way of my work with Capacity Path. Through their training, I received certification as a Community Crisis Stabilization Specialist and have had the unique privilege of serving with other wonderful care providers during disaster relief.

I combine these techniques and experiences to create a comprehensive and effective treatment plan that addresses pain and discomfort while managing to preserve the relaxation inherent in compassionate hands-on care.
