Our environment dictates how we walk in this world. As we age, there are changes that occur naturally, others brought on by how we sleep, eat, play, and work. Manual therapy is a solid investment in how you move. It is one thing to exercise and take good care of yourself--tis another to allow an experienced professional help you keep your muscles in good shape by normalizing tissue. Have you ever tried to massage your own back?

All kidding aside, I use various modalities but I depend upon the feel of your body map through my hands and the skills I was trained with and continue to learn from. Deep tissue massage does not have to be painful. There might be some soreness post therapy but this is quite natural and can be remedied with ice, moist heat, or an Ibuprofen.

It is good to hear that people are tired of taking pills, of getting little relief from physicians who say, "I don't know what else we can do," This answer is unacceptable, really. 

The body wants to 'right' itself. Whether you have a chronic disease/condition or have suffered trauma,  your body still wants to find 'home', Homeostasis is subjective. We all have that common thread regardless of our condition.

Manual therapy is a necessary addition to so many other modes of self-help. Used in conjunction with your choice of mode you just might find it works.

Healing is a process. One step at a time.
