About

Dreamscape Massage LLC is owned and operated by Debra Specht, LMT #MA86858.

The practice is located at 1540 S. McCall Road, Englewood, Florida, 34223.

My massage practice began in June of 2008, when I graduated from the Oregon School of Massage.  My basic education included over 550 hours of training and hands on technical practice where I specialized in Swedish Massage. Each year since then, I have continued to enhance my knowdedge of Massage.  I have now taken courses in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Chair Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Aromatherapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cranial Sacral and Reflexology.  I am currently a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

It is my belief that our bodies are designed to be healthy and strive for balance. When we live in a manner not conducive to good health whether through a lack of proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, poor posture, stress and exposure to environmental toxins, we unknowingly make it difficult for our bodies to find the balance required to heal properly.  Without balance, we become ill and find that our muscles do not work properly, our joints and muscles become stiff and sore, and we feel out of balance.

I use a variety of massage techniques to rebalance the body. Basic Swedish strokes include effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, cross fiber friction allow for better mobilization and range of motion.  I am a practitioner of Massage Cupping also known as Negative Pressure Massage, it is a very effective technique for reducing muscle tension, spasms, and trigger points.  I also employ Deep Tissue work, Active Isolated Resistance stretching techniques, Isometrics, Reflexology, and Trigger Point Therapy to assist my clients to regain mobility.  I strive to provide a relaxing but therapeutic massage session where you will feel better days, weeks or even months after your massage is over.  Massage is especially helpful when used as a tool for preventative maintenance - keeping yourself mobile and free to move when and where you want to go.
