I am an Austin massage therapist working with a variety of deep tissue methods to release areas of tension, whether from injury, repetitive stress, or emotional holding.  Deep tissue massage involves working with deep layers of muscle and connective tissue to cause a profound change in the body.  Many people associate deep tissue with painful or aggressive massage strokes, but this does not have to be the case!  Deep tissue massage is much more effective when it is applied in the slow, focused manner which I has been studying for years.  Most people who usually enjoy only a "moderate" amount of pressure are still able to benefit from a session with me.  I work with each client to find the root cause of his or her discomfort and to create an individualized plan to bring relief through bodywork and self care.
