Andrea Brown

Andrea Brown is a licensed massage therapist in both New York and New Jersey.  She has been a ABMP member since 2011.  She  works freelance as a massage therapist at various On-site wellness events at various corporations throughout New York and New Jersey.  She has also does private in-house appointments and has been doing this from 2012.  For several years, she has volunteered her services at the Mountainside HUMC hospital in Montclair, NJ.  She provided 10 to 20 minutes massages to out-patients undergoing radiation treatments at the hospital's Oncology Radiation department.  She has also been a part of the Oncology Massage Research Project at UMDNJ in Newark, NJ.  This pilot research project ran for six weeks from June to July 2012. Along with five other therapist, she offered her services giving outpatients in the project, fifteen minute massages.  Andrea is constantly updating her skills and since last year, she has attended the World Massage Festival, honing her skills and learning new techniques.  Throughout the years, she has earned a Reiki Level II Certification, a certificate of completion for Introduction to Reflexology and Reflexology for Cancer Patients; Oncology Massage Therapy; Body Breath Work; Positional Release Therapy;  Active Isolated Stretching of Upper and Lower Body; and Cranial/Structural Therapy for Effective Treatment of Headaches.  This coming August, she will be attending the workshop for Cranial/Structural Core Distortion Releases I in Charlotte, NC.
